Weltacker and Späth’s Nurseries are collaborating to build an accessible composting toilet. This will make visits less dependent on the inn, while also creating a resource-efficient sanitation solution that supports natural material cycles.

Are you between 15 and 26 years old? Then join the Weltacker Youth Council and take an active role in advocating for a more equitable food system in Berlin! Together with other young people, you’ll take a close look at the challenges and problems of urban food systems. But that’s not all: you’ll engage in dialogue with Berlin lawmakers and bring your ideas and demands directly into the political arena. Join a dedicated group that’s making a difference—for the future of our food system and our city!
Nothing works without you—join our team of volunteers! The “Weltacker—2,000 m² for Everyone” project thrives on the regular participation and dedication of our volunteers. We’re looking forward to welcoming motivated people who want to get involved in our work. There are many ways to get involved here:
In the field:
Starting in mid-April—open to everyone!
Help our farm team tend and cultivate the fields—rain or shine. We’ll prepare the soil, sow 45 different crops across 2,000 m², plant rice, harvest soybeans, and much more. Diversity in the field requires many helping hands.
Tools and gloves are provided on-site—just stop by! We look forward to sharing ideas and getting some hands-on help.

For guided tours and workshops
Take on the interactive role, e.g., with seed balls, area calculations, or cooking together—whether with school classes, adult groups, or at corporate events.

Help set up and take down, serve food and drinks, supervise the seed guessing game, or represent the Weltacker concept at information booths and during activities.
