Weltacker Berlin e. V. was founded on July 4, 2023, and has been at the heart of the Weltacker movement ever since. Until then, the capital’s Weltacker had been part of the Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft. Since 2013, our 2,000-square-meter Weltacker has been inspiring people with its innovative concept and making topics such as nutrition and environmental education accessible to everyone.
Over the years, it grew to become the largest project of the Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft in Berlin. But to become even more deeply rooted in Berlin’s educational landscape, we decided in 2022 to take the next step: to become independent! In 2023, this dream became a reality. With eight dedicated founding members—comprising staff and volunteers—we launched Weltacker Berlin e. V. Today, we already have over 20 active members who put their heart and soul into developing ideas, planning projects, and working toward a sustainable future. Despite our independence, we remain closely connected to the Zukunftsstiftung Landwirtschaft. We not only share office space but also the same vision: agriculture and food systems fit for our grandchildren, for everyone.
