For employees and trainees in the food retail and restaurant industries
Understand the impact our diet has on the climate, the environment, and our health.
During a short climate field tour of the Weltacker, we’ll see just how much land different foods actually require and the global connections behind it all.
Afterward, we’ll work together to prepare a salad with legumes and various spreads for lunch. Using the “land buffet,” we’ll calculate how much farmland this meal requires and what its carbon footprint is.
Finally, we’ll discuss what each of us—and companies as well—can do to promote a sustainable, health-promoting, and climate-friendly diet in line with the Planetary Health Diet.
Add-on Modules:
The Weltacker is accessible without steps. In rainy weather, navigating the grounds in a wheelchair can be a bit difficult—we’re happy to assist!
